Tin Can Bay golf course changes - the golf committee and TCBCC have approved the recommendations by Ozzie Moore Golf Professional (December 2006) to modify the Tin Can Bay Golf course. These changes will increase the playing difficulty of the course for both men and ladies and will, when complete, allow the course to be re-rated. The changes started in July 2007 and will take place as and when funds are available. Further details are available from the mens and ladies captains.

Handicap changes from 1st July 2007 - The Tin Can Bay golf club maximum handicap for all men has been raised from 27 to 36 from 1st July 2007. This will NOT apply to honour board nor Ambrose events. Golf Australia has decided not to combine the mens and ladies handicap rules. The ladies CCR method will be suspended for at least 1 year from October 2007 and further discussions will take place at a much later date. The AWCR of 71 will be used in all future ladies golf competitions at TCB until this matter is settled. More on this can be found here.

Green Fees - If you do not pay bulk green fees, in order to play golf you will have to pay for your daily green fees. Motorised buggies and Golf Clubs are available to hire
Reciprocal golf club arrangements - Tin Can Bay golf club has agreed reciprocal arrangements with other golf clubs. Members are recommended to contact those golf clubs marked with an asterisk *** on the reciprocal club list to check current applicability of reciprocal rights.
Tin Can Bay golf club weekly format - The weekly format for play is usually as follows :
Monday - no competitions, course open to social play all day
Tuesday - Mens Vets competitions from 1030 - 1700 approx
Wednesday - Ladies competitions from 0930 - 1400 approx
Thursday - there is a 9 hole "Thursday Club"
Friday - a "social" Chook Competition of 9 holes - all visitors welcome
Saturday and Sundays - Competitions from 1100 - 1700 approx

Please note - For all golf members, an annual Australian Golf Union (AGU) fee is due from 1st January. In future this will be collected by the Tin Can Bay Country Club in the fees from July 2008. In the meantime, all golf members must pay $16.50 for the period 1st January - 30th June 2008 - please pay the golf secretary or at TCB reception (make sure you secure a receipt).
